Pop Kit 2000
To record their Fall 2000 album Pop Kit the howtoplays
spent two very very long days in a digital 16 track studio in
Amsterdam. The resulting album consists of fifteen (!) crystal
clear songs, each with its own individual sound. Visits by various
guest musicians add even more color to the mix.
Special care was taken to record all instruments separately,
an effort that included running a 60 ft. cable to a bass amp in
a not so professional recording room around the corner. This
paid off during the mixing stage, and allowed remix genius
Erik Verkoyen to completely revamp the songs, giving Pop Kit
quite a different sound from the previous HTP albums.
